Two juicy tips to lose weight, not pleasure.

Hope you are enjoying your summer and taking some time to relax.

I’ve been doing quite a bit of traveling with my family and just recently got back from Poland.

I’ve been doing quite a bit of traveling with my family and just recently got back from Poland.

Which leads me to write to you, as the program I offer women is called “The European Method to Living More and Weighing Less.”

I believe that you can 100% return to the weight that’s intended just for you and your body. That sweet spot will leave you feeling good, energized, and enjoying your life.

So today, I want to talk about just that- feeling energized and having your body release the extra weight you’ve been carrying. 

Because having you return to the most optimal version of YOU can happen exactly where you are and it’s not just reserved for the European women.

What’s wonderful is that you can get all the juicy secrets from one of them that wants to bring it back to the U.S. and to show you just how possible it is to live it.

You see, each time I am in Europe I see women enjoying delicious foods and still remaining slim. I know their secrets and as much as I hear back in the states that “it’s because they walk everywhere”, that’s not the secret.

The truth is that our weight has very little to do with exercise. Don’t get me wrong exercise is wonderful for health, movement, and overall feeling good.

But to focus on exercise, as the main reason people stay slim, gives us an excuse that’s not at all accurate.

Trust me on this, I used to run 70 miles a week and if that was the case, I should have never had any problems with my weight but I did.

I don’t want to keep you waiting and give you the two juicy tips out of the many others that I cover in greater depth when we work together.

The two most important concepts that can help you start returning to your natural weight are:

1. Eat without distractions so you can pay attention to your eating and savor your food.

2. Eat when you are physically hungry (truly) and stop when you are satisfied and energized to move to the next task.

That’s it.

Say what?

Yes.

My lovely it’s no wonder you’ve been struggling, as there’s so much food in our country and so many diets, that you swing between eating without abandon or restricting and starving yourself because of a diet.

Both of these ignore your body and your ability to tune in to see what your body truly needs.

The root of the problem lies in that, we don’t even know if we are hungry because so often we don’t even stop to check in with our body to see if we are.

Then we eat while doing something else half the time and we miss the fact that we were even eating and before you know it, you are more than full.

So if you find yourself:

  • Eating because it’s time to eat.
  • Eating because you just woke up and that’s what you’re supposed to do.
  • Eating while watching tv.
  • Eating while driving.
  • Eating while standing up and cooking.

Chances are you are eating a lot when you are not even hungry or you are eating past feeling satisfied because you are not paying attention.

My call to you is to take the time to tune in with your body and check to see if you are truly physically hungry.

What are the physical symptoms you feel when you are hungry?  Where are they showing up?

Then sit down and focus on your meal. Relax. Take it in- the smells, the colors, the textures. Allow your self to appreciate it, truly and not just rush through like a chore. Then stop when you are satisfied and energized when you stand up.

This is what the Europeans do naturally and how they live their lives.  And you can 100% do it here, exactly where you are. 

I am at my natural thin weight and I can tell you that I enjoy my food and it’s delicious. What’s changed is that I don’t eat in front of the tv or standing up while cooking like I did before.

I now sit for my meals and that means even if it’s 9pm and I feel hungry. I stand up and grab a yogurt and walk over to my kitchen table, facing away from the tv, and savor my yogurt by paying attention to each bite.
